A very necessary tool for the insurance community and society as a whole

Interesting model

Claims adjusters should not handle claims in a vacuum. Having access to a claimant's prior medical and claim history could definately impact how a claimant's damages are evaluated.

Within existing Federal Privacy laws this database can provide a connection that has previously never existed to my knowledge. Its potential is huge for cost containment and claims management on the work comp and general liability side alone.

This "tool" is long overdue.

As a former Healtcare Executive, and lastly an Insurance Industry Auditor, I concur that this is something that should have been done/accomplished years ago. From my perspective there has been many dollars lost because claimants have failed to provide relevant background information and history; in my view there has also been much fraud, as well.

I think it is a great tool. It should add short and long term disability claims that can be integrated with liability and WC claims. It could be a great first step to integrating data to help reduce the total cost of risk for organizations and individuals.

What a great way to herald what appears to be a game changing tool.

This a real breakthrough in background information and closes the loop on prior, concurrent ad subsequent injuries by including the vast pool of health insurance claims.

Sharing basic claims data to ensure that claimants are made whole but not overpaid makes sense for everyone.

Acquiring accurate medical information has always been costly and time consuming making obtaining it not practical for a majority of claims. You’ve seemed to simplify the process.

Having the ability to easily acquire accurate medical information would save time and reduce the overhead associated to gathering this information through traditional processes.

Simplifying the acquiring of accurate medical information is a big step forward in claims processing. This will not only help to provide a fair settlement, it will help speed up the claims process.
